Job Description

We are inviting CVs for the position of Veterinary Technician to support the livestock and livelihoods activities of a rural development program in Badakhshan and Kunar. The role will deliver practical animal health services that protect and strengthen household livestock assets. The technician will provide basic veterinary care, support vaccination and deworming activities, and advise livestock-owning households on animal health, feeding, and husbandry. The role will work closely with the livelihoods team to integrate livestock support into wider income-generation activities and to reach women livestock keepers in a culturally appropriate way. The technician will also support training of community members on basic animal health practices and keep simple records of services delivered. Field mobility, hands-on technical skill, and the ability to work directly with rural households in remote areas will be central to this position.
