HealthNet TPO is a Netherlands based not for profit, non-governmental organization founded on the principle that access to affordable quality health care is a basic human right.

In 1992 HealthNet TPO was established by ‘Doctors without Borders’ to bridge the gap between emergency aid and structural development. The organization is now the result of a merger between HealthNet International (HNI) and the Transcultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO). HNI has knowledge and experience in reinforcing healthcare systems and prevention, diagnosis and treatment of transmissible diseases. TPO is an expert in the field of psychosocial and mental health care for survivors of war and natural disasters.  HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is managed by a team of qualified Afghans and supported by a team of experts at the HQ of the organization in Holland.

HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is providing Primary Health Care, Mental Health and psychosocial services, fighting malaria and supporting Mother & Child Health Care in terms of providing training for Community Midwifes and to conduct operation research. HealthNet TPO is currently implementing projects in almost 20 provinces of Afghanistan and the major program it implements are HER (Health Emergency Response) projects in three provinces, Nutrition, Mental Health and Psychosocial, Malaria Control program, Tuberculus....... through a community system strengthening approach.

HealthNet TPO has a zero tolerance toward sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse. HNITPO takes seriously all concerns and complaints about sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse involving HNITPO employees and Related Personnel.

1. Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) and maternal nutrition Counseling of all mothers with a special focus on Pregnant and lactating mothers/women
2. Giving Nutrition education to pregnant and lactating mothers of children receiving nutrition services
3. Giving IYCF specific counseling to U2 children's' mothers
4. Focus group discussion between group of mothers of well-nourished children and malnourished
5. children
6. Meeting with community elders for community awareness and sensitization
7. Conducting food demonstration sessions in community
8. Giving specific counseling to the mothers of SAM and MAM children regarding proper complementary feeding in different stages of life
9. Counseling to pregnant and lactating women for getting additional food.
10. Encouraging mothers to receive Iron Folic Acid (IFA) during lactation and pregnancy.
11. Support the Nutrition Officer in conduction all other nutrition activities such as Growth monitoring of all U2 year children and screening of children under five for acute malnutrition.
12. Provision of ANC and PNC services
13. Health education to female and active facilitation of RCCE for COVID-19.
14. Fulfilling all relevant registers and support documents.
15. Regular reporting to the line manager
16. Other task assigned by line manager

Degree: Graduate from GIHS or recognized midwifery schools

Experience: At least two year working experience in BPHS health facilities.

Other skills: Knowledge of the local languages, good communication and counselling skills
