Job Description

Job Decription:

ADF is seeking motivated and committed Female Community Mobilizers to support community-level engagement, awareness-raising, and beneficiary mobilization under a UN Women-funded project. The role focuses on strengthening women’s participation in project activities, ensuring inclusive outreach, and facilitating effective communication between communities and project teams.

Community Mobilizers will play a key role in building trust with communities, identifying beneficiaries, and supporting the successful implementation of field activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct community outreach and mobilization activities, with a focus on women and vulnerable groups.
  • Identify, register, and verify eligible beneficiaries in coordination with project teams.
  • Facilitate awareness sessions on project objectives, women’s rights, and available services.
  • Support organization of community meetings, trainings, and consultations.
  • Maintain regular communication with community members and local leaders.
  • Collect feedback, concerns, and suggestions from beneficiaries and report them to supervisors.
  • Assist in organizing training sessions and field activities.
  • Support monitoring of project activities at community level.
  • Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries and field activities.
  • Promote women’s participation and inclusion in all project interventions.

Job Requirements

Key Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Social Sciences, Education, Gender Studies, Development Studies, or related fields.
  • Relevant experience may substitute formal education.

Experience

  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in community mobilization, fieldwork, or development projects.
  • Experience working with NGOs or humanitarian organizations is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with rural or community-based settings is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work directly with communities, especially women and vulnerable groups.
  • Good understanding of local culture and social dynamics.
  • Basic reporting and documentation skills.
  • Ability to travel to field locations.
  • Teamwork, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Language Requirements

  • Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto (mandatory).
  • Basic English is an advantage.

Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA)

The Community Mobilizer will be required to:

  • Comply with ADF Safeguarding, Code of Conduct, and PSEA policies.
  • Ensure safe, respectful, and inclusive engagement with communities.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns or incidents through official reporting channels.
  • Participate in mandatory safeguarding and PSEA trainings.
