The Stock Manager is responsible for the efficient and compliant management of all INTERSOS warehouses and stock in Kabul, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and dispatched in accordance with INTERSOS procedures, donor requirements, and international standards. The role ensures accurate stock records, optimised storage conditions, and effective coordination with procurement, logistics, and programme teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all warehouse and stock management operations in Kabul, ensuring compliance with INTERSOS SOPs and donor regulations.
- Ensure that all stock is properly received, inspected, recorded, and stored under optimal conditions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records in the inventory management system.
- Supervise physical counts (monthly, quarterly, annual) and reconcile with inventory records.
- Ensure appropriate labelling of items, batch numbers, and expiry dates for medical and non-medical items.
- Implement and monitor FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) systems for stock rotation.
- Coordinate closely with procurement and programme teams to ensure timely stock availability for distribution.
- Monitor stock levels and flag shortages or excesses in advance.
- Ensure security and cleanliness of the warehouse premises.
- Supervise warehouse staff and casual labour during loading/unloading operations.
- Prepare regular stock reports for the Logistics Coordinator and relevant programme managers.
- Ensure proper documentation for all stock movements, including Goods Received Notes (GRN) and Stock Release Forms.
- Implement safety procedures for hazardous materials and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Support audits and donor verifications by providing accurate and timely stock records
