IT Technician

Responsibilities: The IT Technician is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support and maintenance for all IT systems and equipment at the construction project site. This includes installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining computers, laptops, printers, scanners, network devices, internet connections, communication systems, and other IT equipment. The technician provides user support, manages hardware and software issues, maintains IT inventories and records, supports data backup and cybersecurity measures, and ensures the availability and reliability of site IT services. The role also includes coordinating with head-office IT teams and external service providers, managing user accounts and access, supporting project management and HSE-related systems, and responding promptly to technical problems that may affect site operations.

The candidate should have a  bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with relevant experience as an IT Technician or IT Support Specialist. Experience working on construction, infrastructure, industrial, or remote-site projects is preferred. The candidate should have good knowledge of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, networking, printers, software installation, troubleshooting, and basic cybersecurity practices. Familiarity with LAN/WAN networks, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, CCTV, communication systems, and IT asset management is an advantage. Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and customer-service skills are required, along with the ability to work independently, respond to urgent technical issues, and operate effectively in a demanding construction-site environment.
