Job Description

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Engineering Unit the Field Monitor will be responsible for undertaking the following tasks:

 

·       Visit sites to collect information on projects status.

·       Collect data on the performance indicators to assess the outputs of the program

·       Collect information in projects progress with appropriate photos relevant to projects.

·       Check quality of work.

·       Provide feedback to the implementers on projects site on quality.

·       Provide necessary training on field monitoring to regional/provincial staff.

·       Compile field information in prescribed monitoring format.

·       Close collaboration with community empowerment unit.

·       Provide feedback to program unit.

·       Participate in workshops and relevant meetings.

·       Assist in effective reporting on the program activities.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Civil Engineering, Agriculture, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of field monitoring experience in Agricultural and engineering supervision.
    • Previous experience working in challenging and remote environments is an asset.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of humanitarian principles and standards.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in data collection tools and methodologies.
    • Ability to write clear and concise reports.
    • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
    • Fluency in local and English languages.
