Afghanistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Guild (ACMEG) was established in 1346 under the guardianship of the honorable Ministry of Industry and Trade but now it is independent. It is a service providing organization. It is the only organization that represents carpet industry in Afghanistan. It is formation three directorates, the northern zone directorate in Balkh province, the western zone directorate in Herat province, and the eastern zone directorate in Nangarhar province.
Key Responsibilities:
System Management:
Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of all IT systems required for the organization.
Ensure the reliability and security of servers, networks, and databases.
Software Development and Implementation:
Collaborate with organization leaders to identify software needs and requirements.
Develop, implement, and maintain software solutions that align with organization goals.
Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure software functionality.
Data Management:
Establish and maintain a robust data management system for efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of organization-related data.
Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support to project staff, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and offer timely solutions.
Conduct training sessions to enhance the IT literacy of project team members.
Communication Systems:
Manage and maintain communication systems, including email servers and collaborative platforms.
Ensure effective communication within the organization team and with external stakeholders.
Cybersecurity:
Implement cybersecurity measures to safeguard project data and systems.
Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and best practices.
Hardware Management:
Procure, install, and maintain hardware equipment required for organization activities.
Conduct regular assessments to ensure the functionality and efficiency of hardware resources.
Collaboration with External IT Partners:
Liaise with external IT service providers to address technical issues and ensure service delivery aligns with organization needs.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT processes, configurations, and issues.
Provide regular reports on IT activities, challenges, and resolutions.
Stay Informed on Technology Trends:
Stay abreast of technological advancements and trends relevant to the organization.
Propose innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency through technology.
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Associates degree in information technology or computer science.
At least 3 years experience working in the field of Information Technology providing technology support for organization.
Experience training users in new and existing technologies
Ability to work independently and in a team within multi-cultural working environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Dari and Pashto writing, reading and speaking skills desirable.
English skills in writing, speaking and reading preferred.
