 Job Overview:

As an IT Officer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance of our organization's computer systems, networks, and software applications. Your duties will include troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, installing and configuring new systems, ensuring network security and data backup, and providing training and assistance to staff on IT-related matters. You will also be involved in planning, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure to ensure efficient and effective operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. The role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and in vary working hours accordingly Job Description:

Job Descriptions:

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • smooth running of computer systems, routers, switches, and internet and ensure users get maximum benefits from them.
  • Setup, install and configure new Devices, Computers, Servers, and software according to the ACDO Organization needs.
  • Verify functionality of hardware and software components
  • Handled and troubleshoot technical issues of Servers, Networks, Printers, On-air and Production Studios, and employees.
  • Monitoring and maintenance of NVR and all Security Cameras.
  • Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
  • Researches and recommends the acquisition of network hardware and software.
  • Train staff about potential uses of existing technology.
  • Running regular checks on network and data security.
  • Apply security on network resources (Servers, PCs, Routers, Switches, WAPs, Printers, Shared Drives, Websites, and Applications).
  • Monitor and maintain the backup system to take the backup of the organization’s important data.
  • Monitor the social media and apply different strategies to engage more visitors.
  • Provide technical assistance to ACDO provincial offices as needed.
  • Update the ACDO website regularly
  • Create and maintaining the social pages
  • Design Posters for social media pages
  • Creating designs for office visibility and printings
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining complex web-based databases using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational database management systems
  • Writing high-quality, testable, and reusable code in languages such as PHP, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate databases with front-end applications, APIs, and third-party services

Job Requirements:

         

  • Bachelor's degree in BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, and equivalent to the field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Demonstrated understanding of IT Management.
  • Having familiarity with Adobe Software’s such as: Photoshop, Illustrator

Skills:

  • Knowledge of systems engineering, computer maintenance, server administration, installation, repair and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of computer networking, LAN, WLAN installation, configuration, troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in information technology.
  • Knowledge of Web-based application development.
  • Knowledge of Database designing and development.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to Design Graphical Posters and Materials.

Language skills:

  • Fluent oral and written skills in English, Pashto and Dari
