About International Assistance Mission (IAM)

The International Assistance Mission (IAM), established in 1966, is a non-profit charitable organisation where staff from Afghanistan serve in partnership with international volunteers to build capacity in the sectors of health and development, working together in hope for the welfare of the people of Afghanistan.

Job Description

  • Assist in compiling and organizing personnel data from various projects and programs.
  • Review, update, and ensure all personnel files are complete and accurately filed, both digitally and physically.
  • Assist in the implementation of an effective HR data management system, including digitalizing records and data entry.
  • Assist in data entry, analysis, and the generation of reports to provide insights into HR operations.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as document preparation, and coordinating with different departments, programs, and projects.
  • Participate in HR-related projects, including developing and updating HR forms, templates, and databases.
  • Help with payroll preparation by incorporating relevant data (e.g., attendance, leave, and other earnings or deductions).
  • Support the recruitment process, including developing job descriptions, communicating job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with candidates.
  • Assist in preparing employment contracts and ensuring they comply with relevant agreements and IAM policies.
  • Help with onboarding new hires, including ID card preparation, fingerprint registration, induction materials, and conducting orientation sessions.
  • Monitor and maintain attendance reports, timesheets, and leave forms, ensuring accurate records.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of employee information and adhere to data protection regulations.
  • Provide general support to the HR team as needed.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirements

  • Fresh graduate with a bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Understanding the basic concepts and principles of HR theory and practice, and be committed to gain more practical knowledge about HR.
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Fluency in local languages, particularly Dari and Pashto.
  • Proficiency in English language is an advantage.
  • Understanding and passion for IAM core values and approach essential.
