Job Description

Position Overview
X-ray technician for the CAD4TB Sites will be based in the CAD4TB site in Sheydaee Hospital
and will work in a team to implement integrated whole team, on-site mentoring to improve the
quality of care especially the CAD4TB system and strengthen delivery of health services in
assigned health facility.

Responsibilities
• Verifying presumptive TB patients' identity and reviewing physicians’ orders before beginning xray
procedures.
• Explaining the X-ray procedures to presumptive TB patients and answering their questions
accordingly
• Maintaining accurate and reliable patient record and registration who are referring from
OPDs
• Ensuring that the X-rays taken are of sound quality to prevent repeat procedures
• Run the soft image of chest X-ray films into the CAD4TB system
• Share the result of CAD4TB with the related OPDs and other referral centers
• Keep the soft and hard copy of the CAD4TB results
• Daily monitoring and organization of X-ray examinations
• Support the management and control of X-ray material and maintenance with other X-ray
technicians
• Compliance with standard radiation safety precautions in the X-ray room
• Timely communication with the referral centers to ensure the CAD4TB result is received
• Coordination with OPD and DOTS room to ensure the CAD4TB result is received and
follow-up GeneXpert testing is done for the patients

Timely coordination and report any technical issues of the CAD4TB system to the IT and
Biomedical engineers of the UHI project
• Ensuring that the x-ray equipment is regularly serviced and in good working order.
• Any other task assigned by the project and direct supervisor

 

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related field.
• Proven experience working as an X-ray technician.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Diploma from a certified medical institute as an X-ray technician
• Experience in using artificial intelligence tools for diagnosis
• Experience working with Microsoft Office software applications (Excel, Word, Outlook
Explorer, Power Point) is advantageous
