VDO is an independent, non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organization established in January 07, 2015. The organization is composed with a strong and committed team to respond to the needs of Afghanistan. VDO’s special concentration on project implementation is impact- centered approach and VDO ‘s team is committed to work for the welfare and progress of society and the vulnerable people. VDO ‘s efforts focus on changing mentalities and attitudes about women’s participation and contribution in the society. Not only, it also focuses on economic development, advocacy, research and girl’s education.
Job Description
- Daily IT support for VDO’s main office and provincial offices.
- Installation and configuration of office networks, in the VDO’s Main office & provincial offices.
- Resolving problems with systems issues (LAN, WAN], software, hardware, etc.
- Data backup and disaster recovery procedures to minimize the loss of data. Data Backup of VDO Computers and SharePoint
- Monitoring proper power and environmental conditions for technology equipment
- Assist the operation/procurement team in the purchase of IT and communication-related equipment
- Support the M&E and Program department with the assessments and mentorship of the project by providing the IT devices and required software.
- Manage/configure the Biometric Fingerprint machine, generate attendance reports, and maintain it
- Regular maintenance of all ICT-related equipment and resolving problems in hardware and software.
- Ensured the regular maintenance of all IT equipment, including configuring and maintaining Network devices such as CISCO Switches/Routers/Firewalls/CiscoIPS Appliances.
- Develop a comprehensive database as per need of each department
- Maintain and support all databases
- Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in computer sciences
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, Networking, Database
- Fluent English communication verbally and in written
- Willingness to travel to provinces
