Benefits:
- For high-achieving overseas students residing in South Asia, they are giving scholarships that cover a contribution of between £4,000 and £8,000 toward full-time masters tuition fees.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must:
- Reside in one of the following countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, or Sri Lanka
- Be considered for fee purposes as an international student.
- Possess an offer to begin a full-time master’s program in any topic at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom in 2024–2025 (including an MRes).
Application Criteria
- You will be questioned about your accomplishments, study goals, motivations for choosing to study with them, and, if necessary, specifics about your anticipated grades, in your application. Make sure you have enough time to think through compelling responses. When choosing scholarships, they will take into account both your academic merit and your comments.
- Please be aware that each question has a tight word count limit, which is mentioned at the conclusion of the question. Since the system does not automatically cap this, it is advised that you review your application before submitting. Responses that are sent in more words than the specified limit might not be examined.
Scholarship Requirements:
- Prior to completing your application for this scholarship, you are not required to reply to your offer; however, prizes will only be given to those who accept their offer to study with them. They will be in touch with you by the end of July 2024 to let you know how your application was received.
- Should you be granted this scholarship, the amount will be subtracted from the tuition fees you must pay to the University of Nottingham. You won’t receive tuition fee scholarships directly from them.
- Students may be able to apply for more than one University of Nottingham award under specific circumstances. You might also be able to apply for their Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship, but keep in mind that this scholarship is more specialized than the Postgraduate Excellence Award and requires applicants to show a plan, vision, and passion for a particular developing solution. You can apply for and be considered for both of these scholarships, but only one will be given to you if your application is accepted.
- A Postgraduate Excellence Award and a Developing Solutions Award would never be combined, and if you were ever offered both, the greatest value award would be given preference. A Postgraduate Excellence Developing Solutions prize may, very infrequently, be given to students in addition to another scholarship—for example, one from their academic school or a sporting prize. They strive to avoid double awarding in order to maximize the reach of the university’s scholarship program, although in rare circumstances, if the sum does not surpass 100% of tuition fees, this might be permitted.
