Ministry of Science and Higher Education of RK offers this Scholarship to International Students, providing tuition fees and monthly stipend to selected applicants.

Kazakhstan Scholarship for International Students is a partially funded program covering the following:

Note: Students are responsible for the following costs and should pay them for their studies in Kazakhstan:

Requirements for Kazakhstan Scholarship for International Students
Applicants should meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for this program:
- Hold the nationality of any country from around the world
- Be persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- Evidence confirming the secondary education in a ‘good’ manner for an undergraduate degree program
- Bachelor’s diploma or specialist with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or equivariant in previous education for a Master’s degree program
- Master’s degree with at least a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or equivariant in previous education for a Ph.D. degree program
- International certificate proving foreign language knowledge for Master’s degree and Ph.D. programs

There is a separate set of required documents for each study level as follows:
Bachelor’s Degree
- Identity document (Tazkira);
- A high school certificate, transcript, and attachment with a ‘Good’ grade and notarized translation into Kazakh or Russian, or English
- A motivational essay in Kazakh or Russian, or English;
- One recommendation letter from a previous university or the employer in Kazakh or Russian, or English;
- Medical certificate for study abroad, including therapist, narcologist, psychiatrist, and X-ray of fluorographic reports, laboratory tests, and medical certificate confirming the absence of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV infection) and AIDS; official health authority of the candidate’s country of residence should issue the medical certificate.

Master’s Degree
- Identity document (Tazkira);
- Bachelor’s degree diploma and transcript, with minimum GPA 3.0 out of 4.0 or its equivalent obtained in previous university and notarized translation into Kazakh or Russian, or English;

- Diplome d’Etudes en Langue française (DELF) minimum level B2,

Applications and Documents Procedure
The following documents are applicable to apply for the Kazakh Republic Scholarship Program 2024:
- First, submit the required documents via the Operator’s website by entering the Apply Now tab above.
- The Operator will verify the submitted documents. The applicant will receive an email link for online testing if the documents meet all the requirements.
- The online testing is used to recognize the adaptive potential of all applicants. After passing online testing, successful applicants will receive an invitation letter for an interview.
- Shortlisted applicants will have online interviews with representatives of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Operator, and universities;
- The final step is the result announcement of the competition for the Scholarship Program .
