Job Descriptions:

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Management
  • Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual plans for health components of CDP and MHIP
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable work plans
  • Coordinate field-level implementation of project activities
  • Prepare detailed activity and progress reports
  • Support alignment with national and organisational strategies
  • Track and report financial expenditure, ensuring efficient resource utilisation
  1. Monitoring, Accountability and Reporting (in collaboration with MELO)
  • Establish/implement a system for project monitoring, ensuring good data is collected regularly against project indicators
  • Support in the implementation of community feedback mechanisms
  • Ensure beneficiary selection criteria are in place and implemented by the project.
  • Monitor field-based implementation of health activities, including providing guidance to field staff on maternal and child and mental health interventions.
  • Support reporting requirements for project stakeholders, including authorities and donors.
  • Carry out reflection meetings with the project team to ensure the team is learning from the implementation and adapting the project activities accordingly.
  • Ensure the project activities report is shared with the IAM Communications and Media team through the Communications and Media focal point.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement
  • Coordinate with community groups and Shuras
  • Maintain good relationships and coordination with local health facilities and centers at the villages and district level
  • Support to develop capacities of local, district and provincial health service providers in maternal and child and mental health.
  • Develop referral pathways with local health facilities
  • Ensure adequate coordination with the BPHSS implementor for the province
  • Ensure good coordination with line departments in the district and province, through regular visits to the provincial capital, and attendance of relevant meetings
  • Lead stakeholder visits to monitor health activities in the field, at least twice a year.
  • Facilitate community participation in project activities
  1. Team Management
  • Provide direct supervision to agriculture and income generation facilitators
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals
  • Identify and address team capacity gaps
  • Coordinate team meetings

Job Requirements:

  1. Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in medicine, nursing, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in community health programmes
  • Proven experience in maternal and child health or mental health interventions (preferred if experienced in both)
  • Practical knowledge of community-based health interventions
  1. Technical Skills
  • Practical understanding of community health development
  • Community health mobilisation techniques
  • Basic project management skills
  • Financial tracking and reporting
  • Monitoring and evaluation fundamentals
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
