Islamic Relief has been working in Afghanistan for more than 23 years, providing emergency relief and implementing life-changing development projects for some of the most vulnerable people in the country. Islamic Relief set up our first Afghanistan office in 1999. Since then, IRA continued providing assistances in emergency relief, food security, livelihood, education, health, nutrition, shelter, orphan sponsorship, Ramadan and Qurbani programmes.

Job Summary

 

At Islamic Relief Worldwide Afghanistan, we are committed to providing young talents with the tools and opportunities to advance and grow professionally, in alignment with our core values: Sincerity, Excellence, Custodianship, Compassion, and Social Justice. In this regard, we have launched a program under the HELP Project Youth Component, aimed at hiring and developing young graduates. This initiative equips them with the necessary skills to succeed in future positions across various departments, while enhancing their employability in the local job market.

The program focuses on building a talent pool that is well-rounded, strengthening both technical abilities and essential behavioral/life skills. Additionally, it provides young individuals with the chance to refine their skills, share their experiences, and contribute meaningfully in a professional context.

Key objectives of the program include:

 

  • Providing young people with real-world work experience, enabling them to gain both technical expertise and the interpersonal skills needed for successful teamwork.
  • Promoting personal growth by encouraging youth to step out of their comfort zones, take on new challenges, and assume greater responsibilities.
  • Preparing young people for full-time employment by introducing them to workplace standards, expectations, and professional ethics.
  • Equip Youths with Marketable skills.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the implementation of IRW MEAL Framework.
  • Support the MEAL department with operational and administrative tasks.
  • Assist with the proper filing and documentation of the soft and hard MEAL related data.
  • Support on achieving field MEAL data.
  • Support country and field MEAL team with operational tasks such as; Project RHs verification, process Monitoring and PDM data collection.
  • Assist in Preparing and development status reports as required by management.
  • Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function
  • Any other tasks assign by line supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics and computer science faculty or related field.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data collection and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multicultural environment.
  • Knowledge of English and computer.

Experience:

·      No Experience Required- Fresh Graduate

Competency:

  • Good communication Skills in English, Dari, and Pashto.
  • Excellent interpersonal Skills.
  • Familiar with MS Office Package and Problems solving skills.
