Job Descriptions:

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Strategy
 Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's short-term and long-term business goals.
 Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and performance analysis to guide decision-making.
 Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to assess potential risks and opportunities.
 Collaborate with senior management to formulate growth strategies and investment plans.
2. Accounting & Financial Reporting
 Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance IFRS and local accounting standards.
 Maintain and oversee the general ledger, journal entries, and financial transactions.
 Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
 Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
 Implement and monitor financial controls to prevent errors, fraud, and misstatements.
3. Taxation & Compliance
 Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including corporate tax, VAT, payroll taxes, and other statutory obligations.
 Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time to avoid penalties.
 Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and tax laws, ensuring adherence to all legal requirements.
 Liaise with regulatory authorities and financial institutions for compliance matters.
4. Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
 Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability and operational continuity.
 Oversee banking operations, including fund transfers, bank reconciliations, and credit facility management.
 Optimize working capital by managing accounts receivable and payable efficiently.
 Implement strategies for cost reduction, investment, and financial optimization.
 Petty cash management for small payments.
 Deposits to petty cash accounts when petty cash arrive to limited amounts
 Deposits the received amounts to bank.
5. Risk Management & Internal Controls
 Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
 Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
 Conduct periodic financial audits and assessments to detect irregularities and inefficiencies.
 Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and best practices.
6. Procurement & Cost Management
 Oversee financial aspects of procurement, ensuring cost-effectiveness and budget compliance.
 Monitor pricing, supplier contracts, and inventory costs to optimize spending.
 Work closely with the supply chain team to control costs while maintaining product quality and availability.
7. Business Support & Decision-Making
 Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
 Support business development initiatives by conducting feasibility studies and financial analysis.
 Evaluate the financial viability of new projects, expansions, and acquisitions.
8. Payroll & Employee Benefits Management
 Supervise payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely salary disbursements.
 Ensure compliance with labor laws related to compensation, benefits, and taxation.
 Work with HR to develop competitive salary structures and financial benefits for employees.
9. Leadership & Team Development
 Lead, mentor, and train the finance team to enhance their skills and efficiency.
 Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and ensure professional growth of finance staff.
 Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and excellence in financial operations.
10. ERP & Financial System Management
 Implement and manage financial software and ERP systems for efficiency.
 Ensure accurate financial data management and integration with other business systems.
 Continuously improve financial reporting processes through automation and digital tools.
11. Warehouse (Inventory):
• Check and balance Stock of raw material from warehouse to factory and from factory till finish goods by coordination of Logistics department.
 Recording of incoming raw material to stock to balance the physical and recorded amounts.
 Prepare packing slip for finished goods out of company by customers.
12. Recording:
 Bookkeeping and recordkeeping and being a focal point for data entries into QuickBooks.
 Recording of sales by issuing of invoice or sales receipt.
 Recording of expenses to system on daily bases
 Recording purchase of raw materials when purchased.
Other Duties as Assigned
 Represent TJL Pharmaceutical in financial discussions with stakeholders, partners, and regulatory bodies.
 Stay updated on industry trends, economic changes, and financial best practices.
 Perform any additional duties as assigned by senior management to support company growth and financial health.
This role is critical in ensuring TJL Pharmaceutical operates in a financially sound, compliant, and efficient manner, contributing to its long-term success.

Job Requirements:

Qualification
Essential:
 Bachelor Degree in Finance (Master preferred)
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential
• Minimum of 3 years’ finance experience
• Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft
Office in particular Excel including formulae and data
analysis
• strong numerical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Excellent planning and time management skills with ability
to prioritize work and manage conflicting deadlines
• Applicant should possess expertise in Afghanistan's taxation system, including compliance and reporting requirement.
• Experience working for a NGO’s, INOG’s organization
Desirable
• Experience working with integrated systems/CRM
• QuickBook Practical Experience
• Experience of VAT returns & Payroll
• Committee organization & minute taking skills
