Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) is a global humanitarian relief and development organization responding to human sufferings in emergency and disaster situations anywhere all over the world regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, religion, color, cultural diversity and social background.

HHRD Afghanistan (Regional Office of Helping Hand USA) got registered as an international INGO in February 2014 with the number of (402) with the ministry of economy in Afghanistan to serve Afghan destitute families all over Afghanistan, HHRD Afghanistan needs one occupational therapist who will assist the overall physical therapy issues and the candidate will receive 19000AFN monthly.

          Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical and psychological assessments of clients and developing or following a treatment plan.
• Develope physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills.
• Evaluate the patient's condition and needs to understand their limitations and the challenges they face in performing daily activities.
• Develop customized treatment plans to help patients meet specific goals and improve their functional abilities in daily life.
• Assess the patient's home or work environment and recommend necessary changes or adaptations to improve accessibility and independence.
• Train patients and their caregivers to use special equipment or assistive devices effectively to enhance daily functioning and quality of life.
• Monitor and document patient progress to ensure that treatment goals are being met, and provide accurate reports for evaluation and billing purposes.
• Educate caregivers and family members of clients on patient care.
• Evaluate results and progress of occupational therapy on clients.
• Maintain professional knowledge and the technical progress in order to provide clients/beneficiaries with the best treatment program available.
• Comply with local government certification requirements.
• Help people to adjust to their disability
• Provide and suggest special equipment to help with mobility of the beneficiary .
• Support people to adapt their home or vehicle to make them more accessible
• Help people to cope with memory or sensory loss
• Teach someone who’s recovering from a stroke how to do things themselves
• Advise housing departments on mobility issues.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from a recognized university
• Certified by the national board for certification.
• At least three years of working experience with NGOs or with government in the same position.
• Compliant with state healthcare regulatory requirements.
• Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and physical therapy programs.
