Job Descriptions:

Requirements and Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of practical experience in handicrafts or training in silk worm rearing and silk goods production, especially at local and rural levels.
  • Experience working with rural communities and vulnerable groups, with the ability to establish effective communication and motivate participation in projects and training.
  • In-depth knowledge of local handicraft techniques and an understanding of the challenges in the industry, particularly in silk production and silk goods manufacturing.
  • Ability to teach and facilitate educational processes, particularly in technical and practical aspects of handicrafts, to enhance participants’ professional skills.
  • Strong communication and advisory skills to provide technical guidance to artisans and trainees during and after training.
  • Familiarity with various handicraft techniques and tools, with the ability to use related technologies to improve production processes.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge in the techniques, tools, and resources used in handicrafts, particularly in silk worm rearing and silk goods production. Ability to use various tools and techniques to improve the quality of production.
  • Effective teaching and facilitation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and present them in an understandable manner to all participants, particularly in technical and practical fields.
  • Proficiency in preparing educational materials and lesson plans, with the ability to design engaging educational programs based on participants' needs and project objectives.
  • Expertise in preparing reports and educational documentation, including accurate recording of educational information, analyzing results, and producing regular, comprehensive reports for tracking progress and evaluating project impact.

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting Workshops: Organize educational sessions on methods of silk worm rearing and silk goods production, along with training on the growth of trade and marketing of silk products.
  2. Demonstrating Use of Tools and Machinery: Train and demonstrate the use of handicraft tools, machinery, and various technologies in the silk production process.
  3. Practical Workshops: Organize hands-on workshops on silk worm rearing and silk goods production, providing related techniques to participants.
  4. Preparation and Implementation of Educational Materials: Design and implement educational materials and lesson plans based on project objectives and local handicraft needs, particularly in silk production.
  5. Updating and Innovation: Regularly update educational materials and lesson plans to incorporate new trends and innovations in the silk and handicraft industries.
  6. Evaluating Current Practices: Assess the current methods of silk worm rearing, identify gaps, and adapt training accordingly.
  7. Guidance and Counseling: Provide technical advice and guidance to artisans during and after the training program. Guide participants on post-training implementation and follow-up activities.
  8. Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of attendance, training results, and participants' progress for impact assessment.
  9. Reporting: Submit regular, detailed reports on educational activities, including challenges, achievements, and recommendations for improving training processes.
  10. Impact Evaluation: Conduct impact assessments to measure the effectiveness of the training and the outcomes of the project.
  11. Project Monitoring and Participation: Actively participate and monitor the daily activities of the project to ensure its successful implementation.
  12. Organizing Field Visits and Exhibitions: Arrange field visits, exhibitions, and showcases to present best practices, successful achievements, and promote the handicraft products.
  13. Marketing and Communications: Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective marketing strategies for handicraft products and enhance the sales market for silk goods.
