The Transportation Economist and Financial Analyst will be responsible for conducting economic and financial analyses to support the planning, development, and evaluation of transportation projects.conduct the economic and financial analysis. in addition to the standard with and without project framework
(a): demand forecasts for the proposed railway considering the quantity and type of goods to be transported and possibility of passenger service
(b): direct benefits owing to rail operations in lieu of other Modes of transport
(c): indirect benefits such as induced economic development
the financial analysis should focus on the long-term viability of operations
(d): Provide input on tariff structures, pricing strategies, and funding mechanisms.
(e): Collaborate with engineering, planning, and project management teams to align financial and economic considerations with technical designs.
(f): Prepare financial and economic reports for clients, stakeholders, and funding agencies.
(g): Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, donor requirements, and industry standards.
