ASLO is an Afghan non-governmental, non-political, non-profit and non-partisan organization and has the status of legal entity. The organization was informally established in 2012 and was officially registered with the ministry of economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2013.

ASLO is currently working in the Following sectors in Afghanistan:

•         Construction is ASLO’s core activity and most other activities are directly or indirectly related to construction

•         Emergency response and supporting refugees and IDPs and returnees,

•         Legal Aid and access to justice.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving and Vehicle Operation:

• Safely operate organization vehicles for transporting staff, visitors, and materials to required destinations.
• Ensure adherence to traffic regulations and the organization’s safety policies.
• Maintain a courteous and professional attitude with passengers and external stakeholders.
• Ensure timely pickup and drop-off of personnel according to schedules and instructions.

Vehicle Maintenance and Care:

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are in good operating condition.
• Keep the vehicle clean (interior and exterior) and properly fueled at all times.
• Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or damages immediately to the supervisor.
• Ensure all vehicles are equipped with first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and necessary documents (registration, insurance, etc.).

Administrative and Logistical Support:

• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, recording mileage, fuel consumption, and trips.
• Assist with basic logistics tasks such as delivering official documents, materials, or supplies.
• Support in airport pickups, hotel arrangements, or other official travel needs.
• Follow travel plans and routes approved by the supervisor.

• High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical or defensive driving training preferred).
• Valid national driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• At least two (2) years of experience as a professional driver for national or international organizations.
• Proven knowledge of traffic rules, road safety, and vehicle maintenance.
• Familiarity with roads and routes in country.
• Ability to communicate in Local language and basic English.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle official matters discreetly.
• Reliable, honest, and respectful behavior with staff and visitors.
• Good physical health and ability to work long hours if required.
