Humanitarian Organization for the People of Afghanistan (HOPA) is established in 2022 is a non-governmental, non-profit organization (NGO) registered under registration No. 5412 with the Ministry of Economy, Afghanistan. HOPA is dedicated to provide emergency aid and support humanitarian assistance for Afghans in various parts of the country. vulnerable, women, men, youth, and children and in particularly social affairs, Agriculture, Health, Reconstruction and Returnees addressing the most urgent needs of the target groups through service provision and advocacy efforts to alleviate poverty and build their resilience.
In order to enhance long-term sustainable development at the community level, HOPA employs holistic and strong people for delivering successful projects, hence working across various sectors with all community stakeholders, while prioritizing the rights and needs of the society. It indicates strengthening the participation of our target groups so that to stabilize planning, implementation and monitoring of HOPA’s projects and the development of local ownership of both progressed process and results, Kabul and Kandahar provinces.
Provide BSFP awareness messages developed by WFP to each beneficiary at the distribution center.
Ensure that no beneficiary leaves the distribution center without understanding the benefits, use, and storage of Wawa Mum and Super Cereal. Coordinate with Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) teams to ensure compliance.
Accurately and timely report data on children and pregnant and breastfeeding women (PBW) who receive e-BSFP services.
Disaggregate PBW data by the number of pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under-five by gender (girls and boys).
Ensure that distribution centers are equipped with the correct information and materials, including banners about BSFP.
Follow WFP guidance materials and training for outreach and sessions.
14th Graduate, bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Nursing, Midwifery, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in nutrition programs, particularly in emergency programs.
Previous experience with supplementary feeding programs and working with vulnerable populations. Strong understanding of nutrition principles and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting. Ability to train beneficiaries effectively.
Strong organizational and coordination skills.
Fluency in local languages and English is highly desirable. Willingness to travel frequently to various field locations.
