As JVC dedicated itself to strengthening Afghan local staff's management capacities and facilitating their transition to sustainability, YVO was founded as a distinct entity. In March 2019, YVO officially emerged as a non-profit, non-political, and non- governmental organization registered under the NGO laws of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, with registration number 4679. YVO inherits the invaluable spirits, assets, knowledge, and experiences from JVC and remains steadfast in its mission to make a positive impact on Afghan communities through various programs and initiatives in sectors such as FSL, Education, ESNFI, Protection, Peacebuilding, and Policy Advocacy.
