About Accessbility Organization for Afghan Disabled (AOAD)

AOAD (Accessibility Organization for Afghan Disabled) is a national disability-led organization registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan under license number 956. The organization works to advocate for the rights and meaningful inclusion of persons with disabilities in all aspects of society. AOAD promotes equal access to health, education, social services, and community participation, and supports initiatives that strengthen the dignity, empowerment, and well-being of persons with disabilities across Afghanistan. AOAD is seeking qualified male and female trainers (couple-based) to conduct capacity-building training for external health staff on disability-related health services including prevention, identification, treatment, referral, and record management.

The training team must consist of one male and one female trainer who are Sharia Mahram.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct training sessions for health staff on disability prevention, identification, treatment, and referral mechanisms.
  • Deliver sessions on disability-inclusive healthcare services.
  • Train participants on early identification of different types of disabilities.
  • Provide guidance on basic clinical management and referral pathways.
  • Train health staff on patient records, disability documentation, and reporting systems.
  • Ensure proper attendance records and training documentation.
  • Coordinate with district health authorities and health facilities.
  • Prepare training reports and recommendations after sessions.

  • Disability prevention (maternal, newborn, and child health)

  • Types of disabilities (physical, sensory, intellectual, developmental)

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, Physiotherapy, Public Health, or related health field.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in health services or disability programs.
  • Experience in training or capacity building is preferred.
  • Good communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to prepare reports and documentation.
  • Mahram Requirement

  • Trainers must work as a male–female pair (Sharia Mahram).
