Not only, it also focuses on economic development, advocacy, research and girl’s education. 

Job Descriptions:

  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction to the project team, guiding them towards achieving project goals and objectives in alignment with organizational mandates and donor requirements.
  • Conduct regular visits to distribution sites to monitor activities, assess progress, and ensure the right quantity of packages is delivered to beneficiaries.
  • Utilize monitoring data to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions to enhance project effectiveness.
  • Ensure clear and transparent beneficiary selection processes are in place, adhering to project guidelines and criteria to ensure that assistance reaches those most in need.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with government entities, facilitating smooth coordination and collaboration for distribution activities.
  • Seek necessary approvals from government entities and permissions to ensure compliance with regulations and requirements.
  • Manage project staff, including, training, supervision, and performance evaluation, to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
  • Oversee project budgets, expenditures, and financial reporting, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines, donor requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Coordinate closely with the finance department to maintain accurate financial records and ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to ensure that distribution activities meet established standards of efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master's degree and PMP Qualification are preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in humanitarian projects.
  • Strong experience of managing projects funded by UN Agencies.

Commitment and Dedication:

  • Knowledge, understanding and commitment to organizational policies
  • Willingness to travel to provinces when planed by the management
  • Willingness to work outside official hours

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in both national language (Dari & Pashto) oral and written
  • Fluency in English is a must both oral and written
