About Afghanistan Rehabilitation and Women Education Organization:

In 2003, a group of thoughtful and committed citizens came together to help and provide support to hundreds of men, women and children who had been effected by war in Eastern Afghanistan. The result was the establishment of Afghanistan Rehabilitation and Women Education (ARWEO). From day one, bound by integrity, perseverance, diversity and inclusion, ARWEO’s mission was to rebuild Afghanistan and heal the wounds of people, provide shelter to and help men, women and persons with disabilities affected by war to get them back on their feet to support themselves, their families and the reconstruction process. 

Today, after 20 years we still stand firm to the core values practiced on day one by the founders of ARWEO to ensure that Afghanistan achieves peace and prosperity and that every Afghan man, woman and child have access to basic needs in life. Since 2003, ARWEO has grown-up both in size and expertise. During the years 2005 to 2014, we significantly expanded our coverage and services to cover all 34 provinces of Afghanistan to offer services in even remote areas of Afghanistan which are deprived and left isolated. Job Descriptions:

Summary:

 

The Community Development Facilitators will be responsible for conducting community level surveys, evaluations for affected people receiving cash transfers for food. supervise and follow-up with community, meet with community, provide support to run the project smoothly, Uses of KOBO Toolbox for registration beneficiaries and share with main office the beneficiary’s lists (profile survey database) for verification and approval prior to starting cash distribution, selection of beneficiary, organization and supervision of cash for affected people, provision of unconditional cash transfer (UCT) for covering food and basic non-food needs as well as keeping strong relationships with house hold, community elders, H/She will give daily and weekly report to the direct supervisor. The incumbent will identify and manage project related site distributions, conducting necessary meetings and keeping track of all activities according to the project scope and plan. He/She will keep strong coordination and communication with community members.
 

Job Description:

  • Conduct community surveys, house hold survey, evaluations, beneficiaries profile, selection and registration process, based on the FSAC selection procedures, and sharing the input.
  • Survey in the field and select the vulnerable families according to FSAC Cluster criteria
  • Responsibly to survey the HHs in the targeted area and collects the data from the vulnerable families
  •  Uses the KOBO system, entering of data into the system.
  • A daily visit of HH and fill related questionnaire using KOBO software
  • Establish respectful relation with interviewee, in order to encourage them for appropriate answers;
  • Interview the head of household and fill up pre prepared questionnaires during field visits;
  • ARWEO also adheres to strict child safeguarding principles.
  • Ensure respect of rules and procedures;
  • Respecting the confidentiality of interviewee and collected data
  • Report his/her activities to the line supervisor;
  • Help ensure factual data from the site and properly report field related information to the relevant senior staff at the office and to the project assistants.
  • Participate in meetings with DDAs, CDCs, and other stakeholders in the province; liaise, communicate and coordinate with donors, NGOs, and other relevant institutions in the
  •  Any other task assigned by Project Manager

 

Job Requirements:

Knowledge required.

Essential:

  • Bachelor Degree in Economy, BA, Computer Science, Agriculture, Social Science or equivalent
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Experience in running development/emergency projects
  • Experience in the implementation of Humanitarian Projects
  • Use of computer software (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook) Desirable:
  • Fluent in Dari, Pashto, basic English
  • Have experience in KOBO Tools with smart phone
  • Able to manage and plan the work effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Have experience in the survey of HHs
  • Ability to establish working relationships with the government and non- government organizations and effective outreach and networking at provincial level
  • Ability to build strong lines of communication with stakeholders
