ASLO is registered with Ministry of Economy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The organization was informally established in 2012 and was officially registered with the ministry of economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2013.  Registration number (2852) was awarded to ASLO through NGOs Department of Ministry of Economy Kabul Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

1- Admin

  • Ensure to receive and respond the requests and enquiries from the Government.
  • Overall responsible for all travel arrangements for ASLO staff.
  • Oversee office space maintenance, repair and utilization. Ensure that all offices look professional.
  • Letter IN/Out follow up.
  • Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of equipment, facilities and services;
  •  Ensure timely compliance with all administrative  reporting requirements;
  • Be responsible to organize and coordinate office-wide events such as meetings, presentations, shows, holiday festivities and celebrations.
  • Identify emerging administrative and office management challenges on a timely manner and report to the supervisors.
  • Coordinate the communication with the landlord if any changes in the lease agreement terms. Be responsible to provide advance notice to the landlord, if required by the lease agreement terms

 

2- Finance

  • Ensure to adhere to Financial Handbook, ASLO policies, donor and auditor requirements.
  • Implement ASLO’s financial systems, routines and procedures.
  • Maintain overall budget control and monitor cash flows.
  • Management of financial team.
  • Provide regular analysis and reports.
  • Implement anti-corruption policy.
  • Development of holistic and needs based programmes, including cash-based interventions and marked based programmes.
  • Prepare and Submit field office Tax Report to Kabul Finance on time
  • Responsible to submit on time financial reports for projects according to formats and directives from donors.
  • Responsible to maintain a transparent, accurate and clear financial records
  • Verify and approve financial transactions
  • Developing strategies that work to minimize financial risk
  • Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and financial statements
  • Prepare employees’ pay roll and issue their salaries, and remunerations on time.
  • Undertaking strategic analysis and assisting with strategic planning of ASLO finance department
  • Developing and managing financial systems/models
  • Carrying out business modeling and risk assessments
  • To monitor provincial offices in accounts reporting
  • To facilitate the process of external audits
  • To follow the coding system for the projects
  • To prepare monthly financial reports of the projects
  • To ensure accuracy and alignment between available budget lines and expenditure
  • To control expenditure

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, practical training in M&E is essential.
  • A minimum of 4-5 year experience in a similar position involving data collection, documentation, PDMs  and reporting
  • Demonstrable experience in producing good quality documents for different audiences and managing emergency and humanitarian, protection monitoring information management systems.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and produce good quality data and information tables and reports
  • Proven skills in data management with concrete knowledge of open source tools such as Kobo Toolbox or CommCare platforms
  • Computer literacy with possible advanced Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint and Ms access
  • Knowledge in computer statistical packages (EPI INFO, SPSS and Stata)
  • Demonstrated experience in capacity building and mentoring of staff
  • Knowledge, skills and experience in participatory survey/research methods & Kobo system 
  • Experience in use of data to inform decision-making, planning, and performance monitoring
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Ready to work in difficult environmental conditions
  • Must be flexible and culturally sensitive.
