Purpose:

ARMCSC is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Mining Exploration/Prospecting Engineer. We seek to attract qualified and experienced professionals with a passion for discovering new mineral resources. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our ongoing and upcoming projects, contributing to the exploration, analysis, and development of mineral resources. We are looking for an individual with strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Job Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

Site Evaluation and Discovery:

  • Conduct geological surveys and fieldwork to assess and identify potential mining sites.
  • Utilize geological data, satellite imagery, and other tools to locate mineral deposits.

Resource Assessment:

  • Analyze geological formations and data to estimate the size, grade, and economic viability of mineral deposits.
  • Perform drilling and sampling to gather data for resource modeling.

Exploration Planning:

  • Develop and implement exploration strategies and plans to maximize the potential for discovering valuable resources.
  • Design and oversee drilling programs and geophysical surveys.

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

  • Utilize advanced software and techniques to interpret geological data and generate insights about resource potential.
  • Create detailed reports and presentations on findings and recommendations.

Risk Management:

  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with exploration activities, including environmental and operational risks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with geologists, engineers, and other specialists to integrate findings and optimize exploration efforts.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including government agencies and local communities, to ensure smooth project execution.

Innovation and Technology Integration:

  • Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and integrate innovative tools and methods into exploration practices.
  • Contribute to the development of new techniques for more efficient and accurate resource discovery.

Strategic Planning:

  • Provide insights and recommendations for strategic planning based on exploration results.
  • Support decision-making processes related to project development and investment.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in exploration engineering or geology, with a strong focus on mineral exploration and resource discovery.
  • Fieldwork Experience: Extensive experience in conducting exploration fieldwork, including geological mapping, sampling, and surveying. Proven ability to operate effectively in diverse and challenging environments.
  • Data Analysis: Solid background in analyzing exploration data, with proficiency in interpreting geological maps, cross-sections, and geophysical and geochemical data sets.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in using exploration and geological software and tools, such as GIS, AutoCAD, and resource modeling software. Familiarity with advanced techniques in exploration analysis and resource estimation.
  • Project Involvement: Significant involvement in all phases of exploration projects, from initial site evaluation to resource development. Experience in supporting project planning, execution, and comprehensive reporting.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of environmental regulations and industry standards relevant to exploration and mining activities. Experience in ensuring compliance and mitigating environmental impacts during exploration activities.
  • Client Interaction: Proven ability to prepare detailed technical reports and present exploration findings to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies. Strong communication skills, with experience in client-facing roles.
  • Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with geologists, engineers, environmental scientists, and other professionals to achieve exploration and project goals.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Exploration Engineering, Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
  • Professional Experience: Proven experience in exploration engineering, fieldwork, and data analysis, ideally within the mining sector.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with exploration and geological software (such as GIS, AutoCAD) and relevant tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex exploration data and geological information.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fieldwork Readiness: Willingness to travel to field sites and work in varying and challenging environmental conditions.
