Kandahar Refugee Organization (KRO) is a national level, non-political, non-profitable, non-governmental organization working for humanitarian and rehabilitation roots in Afghanistan. Further, KRO is an Afghan organization that is committed to the development of the local economy and building local capacity for sustainable development. Thus, we have an established specialized network in many provinces of the country in order to design, implement related activities in the field of food security, research, capacity building, disaster management, and placement.

Main Responsibilities:

• Undertake procurement of goods and services, in line with KRO procurement policy, of supplies and equipment required for office management and operations, and for project and program activities;
• Monitor collection of quotations from different suppliers and prepare quotations comparative table.
• Prepare and review the purchase orders and contracts;
• Ensure up-to-date inventory and supply filing system in place and all items are recorded in a timely and correct manner;
• Ensure that all assets are received in good condition, certify that the supplies are appropriate and in accordance to the specifications required, as indicated in the purchase order form;
• Contribute towards the development of procurement and logistics plans and processes ensuring compliance with wider logistics policies and standards.
• Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.
• Responsible for overseeing and monitoring asset management and updating asset list as required.
• Ensure on a weekly and monthly basis that physical and theoretical stocks are matching;
• Report timely on damages and losses of goods under his/her responsibility;
• Follow-up procurement & supplies with related departments and provincial offices.
• Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for effective operations.
• Evaluate and report on KPIs.
• Train and evaluate others such as sub-ordinates,
• Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals.
• Decide in emergency situations, collect data, and provide appropriate decision, 

• Any other tasks assigned by regional director.

• Bachelor degree in asset management, logistics or business administration
• At least 3 years revenant working experience with a satisfactory performance in the same or similar functional area preferably with national and/or international organizations
• Experienced field worker with background from complex emergencies and with experience from working in a difficult security environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding team building and management skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make decision and get measurable results through a diverse team.
• Fluency in written and oral communication skills (English and local languages)
