About RCY:

Rehabilitation Center of Youth (RCY) Is a non-profit, non-governmental organization and registered with Afghanistan Ministry of Economy on 2006 which registration number (645) working in various fields of construction, health, agriculture, education and social protection. RCY is operating in the field of orthopedic and physiotherapy services in Jalalabad, Khost, Daikundi and Herat provinces. This project is funded by Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Job Descriptions:

  1. Training and Capacity Building:
    • Develop comprehensive training programs and materials for physiotherapy techniques, orthopedic care, and rehabilitation services.
    • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars for healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, nurses, and community health workers.
    • Provide mentorship and support to trainees, ensuring the effective implementation of learned skills and techniques in clinical practice.
  2. Clinical Supervision and Quality Assurance:
    • Provide clinical supervision and oversight to physiotherapy staff, ensuring adherence to best practices, clinical protocols, and standards of care.
    • Conduct regular clinical assessments and evaluations to monitor patient progress, outcomes, and satisfaction with services.
    • Collaborate with project coordinators and healthcare providers to address clinical challenges, implement quality improvement initiatives, and promote patient-centered care.
  3. Program Development and Implementation:
    • Participate in the development and implementation of program strategies, objectives, and action plans to achieve project goals and targets.
    • Contribute to the design and adaptation of clinical protocols, treatment algorithms, and patient care pathways based on evidence-based practices and local context.
    • Monitor program activities and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and innovation to enhance service delivery and impact.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation of training activities, clinical assessments, treatment plans, and patient outcomes in accordance with project protocols and reporting requirements.
    • Prepare regular reports on training progress, clinical activities, and program achievements for project management, donor agencies, and stakeholders.
    • Ensure timely and comprehensive reporting of data, trends, and challenges to inform decision-making and programmatic adjustments.
  5. Office Responsibility:
    • Designing and implementing the work plan and obtaining approval from the project manager.
    • Necessary coordination in the advancement of activities.
    • Regular creation of filing system.
    • Providing accurate daily, monthly and quarterly reports to direct supervisors.
    • Run and update databases.
    • Correct use of materials, tools and equipment related to the office.
    • Regulating, maintaining and taking care of the property and goods of the department.
    • Develop and streamline operational efficiencies.
    • Contact delinquent accounts.
    • Raising the level of knowledge and capacity building.
    • Compliance with all ethical code, code of conduct, disciplines introduced by the organization.
    • Obtaining complete knowledge about the organization and all the policies of the organization.
    • Stay current with all regulations, requirements, and laws of government of Afghanistan
    • Good behavior with clients and staff.
    • Inform the direct commander in time of any kind of accidents that have happened.
    • Carrying out other tasks assigned by the department.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy or related field from a recognized institution.
  • Licensed or registered physiotherapist with relevant professional accreditation and certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in orthopedic and physiotherapy services, with demonstrated expertise in training and capacity building.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical assessment, treatment modalities, and rehabilitation techniques for orthopedic conditions and musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of learners.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Dari or Pashto; basic English language skills are an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned provinces and work in challenging environments
