WDIO is nationally based in Kabul and maintains field operations through five regional offices, with over ninety-seven staff members, located in Kabul, Bamiyan & Logar (Center-Region), Ghor & Herat (West-Region), Nangarhar, Laghman & Kunar (East-region), Takhar & Badakhshan (North-Region) and Kandahar (South-Region). WDIO maintains the departments of Program, Operation, Human Resources Finance, and Procurement. Each department operates according to the WDIO written policies and procedure manuals updated based on the context of the area where WDIO implementing projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

MIS

 

  • Under the direct supervision of the WDIO Provincial Education Manager and technical supervision of the MIS Manager the MIS officers will be primarily responsible for all Data entry, and its quality/accuracy assurance related to the ECD project, apart from that MIS officers will be responsible for supporting provincial departments in software related issues.
  • The following are the main responsibilities of the MIS Officer:
  • Support and participate in information exchange and coordination mechanisms with partners and relevant information systems/units.
  • Technical coordination and support of MIS activities of the ECD project and overall, WDIO activities.
  • Advise and support technical experts on issues related to the use of MIS systems and digital data collection to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Preparation and dissemination of technical reports.
  • Designing and developing forms and data collection tools in ODK/Kobo/Enketo.
  • Building capacity of social organizers and related staff members, on the usage of related data collection and reporting tools.
  • Provide technical support and oversee collection, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of WDIO, ECD project-related information from routine surveys, surveillance, and diverse contextual information sources.
  • The collection, compilation, and analysis of MIS reports related to the ECD project and other WDIO-related activities in Kabul province.
  • Strong follow-up with related departments for on-time data entry and sharing with the central office.
  • Data quality assurance checks on a routine base, to check that the data is accurate and as per the project standards and norms.
  • Developing well-organized File Management procedures and mechanisms.

M&E responsibilities

 

  • Provide inputs and support to the M&E team in developing their M&E systems
  • Verifying baseline and pre-project information
  • Coordinate with the M&E team and project staff, document lessons learned and findings
  • Ensure the maintenance of both qualitative and quantitative data
  • Mobilizing and making communities aware of project objectives, outputs, and activities and M&E systems and WDIO Child Safeguarding Policies.
  • Facilitate project and activities information at all events such as training and workshops
  • Support in the development of project monitoring tools, databases, quality benchmarks, and project reporting.
  • Take the lead for the establishment of feedback mechanisms in all implementation locations of WDIO’s AKDN grant.
  • Support in building the capacities of AKDN field-based project staff in terms of project M&E requirements.
  • Whenever required, give company to representatives of project stakeholders during joint-monitoring visits.
  • Other duties as required in line with the skills, experience, and role.

Job Requirements:

Job Requirement

  • Having at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Application, Software Engineering, or any other relevant field.
  • Having at least three years’ experience from an accredited college or university and having a master's degree will be preferred.
  • Required Languages – Excellent Pashto and Dari reading, writing, and verbal skills, Fluent in English, reading, writing, and verbal skills.
