The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) is a member-based solidarity organization that has been working in support and solidarity with the Afghan people for more than 35 years. The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) has a zero tolerance of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEAH) both within the organization and of beneficiaries. Prevention of and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH) is the individual and collective responsibility of all NAC officers, management, staff, consultants, and volunteers, who are all required to familiarize themselves with, agree to, and act in accordance with NAC’s Ethical Guidelines and Commitment, NAC Child Protection Policy, and NAC PSEAH Policy, at all times – both during and outside working hours – and participate actively in introductory and refresher trainings. Any breaches of PSEAH clauses in NAC’s policies, guidelines, and/or commitments will lead to immediate termination and possible legal actions.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct regular monitoring visits on project sites using monitoring tools and checklists based on the workplan and schedule given by national and regional M&E Officers,
Collect and submit field monitoring data on a regular basis and provide on-time reports to regional and national M&E teams,
Conduct field monitoring visits for different project activities (e.g., community mobilization, beneficiary profile survey, warehouses, distribution sites, etc.) and report on the quality of project implementation in the field,
Perform data verification as requested by national and regional M&E teams,
Contribute to collection of quantitative and qualitative data in project assessments (e.g., post distribution monitoring, baseline and endline assessments, etc.),
Monitor NAC warehouses and report on feasibility of warehouses in safekeeping of inputs and tools,
Interview beneficiaries and document rural insights,
Participate in all training and workshops,
Abide by and work in accordance with the NAC principles, and
Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line manager.
Languages Required
Fluency in local languages (Dari, Pashto, Uzbeki) and satisfactory knowledge of English.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of relevant technical experience.
Adequate knowledge of monitoring and evaluation.
Ability to move in all areas of the provinces with readiness and frequent visit to northern (Badakhshan and Takhar), northwestern (Faryab), southern (Ghazni and Paktika), central (Kabul, Kapisa, Parwan, Panjshir), and southeastern (Khost and Paktia) regions.
