Afghanistan, with Registration Number 4388 dated February 18, 2018. SSEOA works in the

fields of education, health, and livelihood in the remote regions of Afghanistan. SSEOA envisions creating educational opportunities for girls and women to grow, thrive, and prosper. SSEOA works to empower communities in Afghanistan through education, especially for girls, promotes peace through education, and conveys the importance of these activities all around the country. Our mission is to empower Afghans, especially girls and women in the remote regions of Afghanistan by creating educational opportunities and livelihood skills because SSEOA has a firm belief that without educating girls, peace and prosperity is not possible.

SSEOA boasts a team of highly qualified professionals renowned for their discipline, organization, efficiency, and extensive tenure within both national and international organizations. The team is spearheaded by an Executive Body comprising of the Executive Director, Deputy Director, Program Director, Finance Manager, and Program Manager, each bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. At the helm of strategic governance stands SSEOA's Board of Directors, comprising five distinguished members renowned for their extensive experience working with the government and NGO sector.

Job Descriptions:

Position Summary:

The role of a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assistant is essential in tracking and assessing project performance, ensuring objectives are met, and supporting the overall quality and effectiveness of programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect data from field activities through surveys, interviews, and other M&E tools.
  • Ensure data is accurately recorded, entered, and maintained in databases or other storage systems.
  • Assist in developing data collection tools, such as questionnaires, and ensure they are implemented effectively
  • Compile, organize, and analyze data collected from the field.
  • Support data cleaning and validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Generate regular reports and summaries based on data analysis to provide insights on project progress.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor program activities and ensure they are being implemented as planned.
  • Verify that activities are conducted according to project plans, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Document observations and feedback from field visits to help improve program implementation.
  • Prepare reports on M&E findings, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as needed.
  • Maintain and organize all M&E-related documentation, such as data records, reports, and tools, for easy retrieval and reference.
  • Assist in drafting case studies, success stories, and other documentation to showcase project impact.
  • Assist in preparing for evaluations by organizing necessary resources, tools, and logistics.
  • Support the implementation of mid-term and end-of-project evaluations, working with M&E officers or external evaluators.
  • Participate in lessons learned workshops or feedback sessions to improve future project design and delivery.
  • Provide training and support to field staff and other stakeholders on data collection, reporting, and M&E processes.
  • Ensure that field teams understand M&E tools and standards to collect reliable data.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy, validity, and reliability of collected data.
  • Identify and troubleshoot any issues with data quality, providing feedback to field teams as needed.
  • Work closely with other team members to align M&E activities with project goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with project staff, partners, and beneficiaries to facilitate the M&E process and gather valuable insights.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to share progress updates and discuss challenges or opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the refinement of M&E frameworks, processes, and tools.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the M&E system and suggest innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and data protection standards to ensure ethical handling of data.
  • Ensure all M&E activities comply with donor requirements, organizational standards, and best practices in monitoring and evaluation.

Job Requirements:

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or another related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Educational Projects.

Skills:

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work in groups.
  • Visiting fields.
  • Sound ability to speak local and English languages and operate a computer.
  • Have the extreme patience and abilities required for working with children.
  • Be punctual on time and able to meet deadlines.
  • Able to travel to provinces when required.
