LKRO is a national NGO established in 1992 and registered with Ministry of Economy under License No.183 and is an active member of ACBAR and SWABAC NGOs Coordinating Bodies. LKRO has currently presence in 18 provinces of Afghanistan and has completed more than 187 large, small and medium size projects in the last 30 years of its operation in Afghanistan. These are in the sectors of education, health, sustainable community dev, livelihood, youth empowerment, child protection, research studies, environment and capacity building of CDCs, DDA, youths & PED, DEDs, SMS Dfa employees. Most of these projects were funded by the UN agencies of
(UNDP, UNOPS, UNHCR, WFP, WHO, UNICEF), Government (MRRD, NEPA), International Orgs of (JICA, IOM, TDH, Oxfam, Action Aid, Counterpart International, Caritas-Cordaid, SC) as well as Embassies of (Canada, USA & Japan - GAGP Unit).
Proposal Development: Take the lead in proposal writing, editing, and finalization to ensure meet donor requirements and organizational goals.
NEW GRANT OPPORTUNITIES — Conduct research to identify new funding opportunities internationally or locally from government agencies, foundations and corporate partners.
Strategic Planning: Work with the fundraising team on strategies for addressing and funding different streams of donors.
Collaboration: Work with internal departments (e.g., programs, finance and monitoring & evaluation) to provide information that will inform proposals accurately reflecting program and budgets.
Relevant content creation: Create proposal content specific to donor guidelines emphasizing the organizations strength and project potential.
Compliance Assurance: Verify that all proposals adhere to donor specifications concerning the format, technical requirements (if any), and protocols for submission.A.
A process of keeping track of what goes on in the line such as industry trends, change in donor preferences or interests, and a changing funding landscape affecting the success rates of proposals.
Education: A Master’s degree in Communications, English, International Development, Business Administration or other field related to the job. A master's degree or formal training in fundraising and development education is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of [3-5] years experience in proposal writing, grant writing or fundraising positions (preferably for a non-profit organization).
Skills:
Outstanding writing, editorial and storytelling skills.
Demonstrated experience writing compelling, direct, donor focus content.
Ability to research and synthesize data to support arguments within the proposal.
Ability to use donor management tools and CRM platforms.
