Job Descriptions:

The Senior Liaison Assistant will support iMMAP's administrative operations by facilitating communication and coordination with government entities to ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory frameworks. 

Job Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

Liaison and Coordination

  • Assist in liaising with government departments for initial and annual employee work permits and work visa requirements. 
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities and ministries to secure legal authorization for iMMAP's activities in Afghanistan. 
  • Support the preparation of documentation for the registration and introduction of new projects required by the Ministry of Economy. 
  • Work to expedite the processing of iMMAP’s legal documents through active engagement with relevant departments. 

Regulatory Compliance

  • Research and stay updated on current labor INGOs and immigration laws, communicating applicable changes to iMMAP. 
  • Ensure that iMMAP operates within the bounds of applicable laws and regulations, maintaining positive relationships with government bodies. 
  • Process legal documents such as registration licenses, tax exemption certificates, bank signatory letters, and other correspondence with the Ministry of Economy and relevant departments. 

Documentation and Record Keeping

  • Maintain and organize all ministry-related documents, ensuring proper filing and accessibility. 
  • Regularly update relevant databases with accurate information. 
  • Address staff inquiries related to visas, labor requirements, and passport processes. 

Collaboration

  • Coordinate with employees to manage work permit and visa needs efficiently. 
  • Communicate with program and finance teams to share relevant data and ensure timely reporting. 
  • Facilitate monitoring visits and inspections by government authorities, ensuring smooth communication and cooperation. 

General Support

  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Administration Coordinator or Country Director.
