Job Descriptions:

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in coordinating day-to-day dispatch activities as per need for intercity and within city missions.
  2. Support efficient coordination with dispatch team for smooth operations, including.
  3. Mission planning and assigning drivers / cars.
  4. Coordinate with OSS to acquire road status for intercity missions.
  5. Planning and deploying weekends, holidays, and night drivers.
  6. Maintain record of extra hours served by drivers.
  7. Keep record of driving licenses and necessary permissions for dispatch and international staff with authority to drive.
  8. Randomly check logbooks and track mileage viz a viz fuel consumption. Notify fleet manager in case of any observation.
  9. Generate leave plan for complete year of the driver’s team.
  10. Ensure the fleet is in working condition and generate vehicle maintenance requisitions as per need with approval of fleet manager.
  11. Closely coordinate and act as backup for Airport team focal person.
  12. Generate incident reports immediately for vehicles involved in traffic accidents and any other damage to IOM vehicle.
  13. Liaise with insurance focal person and OSS in case of accidents. Make sure that vehicles are repaired through insurance as soon as possible. Generate daily reports of vehicles, reflecting vehicles status in Afghanistan, on mission, under maintenance or any other task.
  14. Making sure all the acknowledgers of the vehicles in Kabul and suboffices are available including maintenance log sheet, log book properly field, insurance valid, other security and medical equipment’s.
  15. Provide inputs for the evaluation and trainings for drivers in Kabul and in the suboffices
  16. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in management or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two (2) years of relevant professional experience with having Valid national driver’s license.

or

High school diploma in the above fields of studies with four (4) years of relevant professional experience with having Valid national driver’s license.

 

Experience

  • Good level of computer literacy, with proficiency in MS Windows / MS Office applications
  • Good communication and analytical skills, ability to interpret information, identify and analyse problems
  • Knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
  • Experience in driving a variety of makes and models of vehicles
  • Skills in minor vehicle repairs.
  • Knowledge of radio, email, telephone and other applications.

 

SKILLS

  • Attention to detail
  • The candidate should have good knowledge of fleet management applications and    

good usage of Microsoft programs.

  • Motivational skills to solve / address day to day challenges of dispatch.
  • Team player and can work in minimum supervision.

 

Languages

  • For all Applicants, fluency in English is required (oral and written).
  • Working knowledge of Pashto or Dari is required.
  • Fluency in all national language(s) are highly advantages.
