About ANCC:

Afghanistan National Re-Construction Co-ordination (ANCC) is professionally managed committed Afghan, nongovernmental, non-political and nonprofit development oriented organization. It was established in 1994 to meet the dire needs of vulnerable Afghan refugees and internally displaced families at the time of civil war and factional fighting followed by Soviet Union’s invasion of the country and troops withdrawal in early 1990’s. Earlier it was registered with UN coordination body for Afghanistan in Pakistan. Presently, ANCC is registered with Ministry of Economy under registration number 117. Its main area of work is community development with participatory approaches.

ANCC head office is located in Kabul and operating in the central, southwest, west and east regions of the country.

Job Descriptions:

The Project GBV/PSEA Officer will lead efforts to prevent and respond to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEA) under the project. This role will ensure the protection of vulnerable groups, especially women, children, and marginalized populations, by promoting policies that prevent GBV and PSEA. The officer will provide support to the project team and community stakeholders and establish effective reporting and response mechanisms for GBV/PSEA incidents.

Job Requirements:

  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent and respond to GBV and PSEA incidents. Ensure project activities align with GBV and PSEA policies.
  • Raise awareness on GBV and PSEA among the community, stakeholders, and beneficiaries through workshops, information campaigns, and training.
  • Train project staff on GBV/PSEA prevention, response, and survivor-centered approaches.
  • Set up reporting systems to track GBV/PSEA cases, ensuring confidentiality and proper follow-up for survivors.
  • Respond to GBV/PSEA incidents by ensuring they are investigated and reported in line with established protocols.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and stakeholders like NGOs, UN agencies, and service providers to improve responses to GBV/PSEA cases.
  • Support case management for GBV/PSEA, ensuring data is securely stored and meets reporting standards.
  • Communicate safeguarding, GBV, and PSEA policies to all project staff, volunteers, and partners.
  • Work with the Complaints and Feedback Mechanism (CFM) Officer to ensure community-based complaints mechanisms are safe, confidential, and accessible.
