AWEC is a non-political, non-profit, woman-headed national organization established in 1991 by a group of educated Afghan women in exile, who rallied together to address the lack of facilities for Afghan refugees in Islamabad and eventually Peshawar, in Pakistan. AWEC has always been involved in advocacy and awareness-raising for women and children’s rights while providing services to those who frequently fall through safety nets. In recent years, one of AWEC’s core activities has been to support women through mobilizing Afghans, from local communities to political elites, towards the goal of reducing and eventually eliminating violence against women.

Our vision in AWEC is “an inclusive and just society with sensitized and responsive public and private sector, where all women and children have access to opportunities to improve their quality of life in order to realize their full potential”.

AWEC has zero tolerance approach to the AWEC Code of Conduct including safeguarding, SH, and Fraud violations being committed by its staff, consultants, contractors, volunteers, interns, suppliers, vendors, sub-grantees/partners, implementing partners or any other associate.

AWEC has planned to implement WASH hard components activities (constructing and Repairing) in 8 existing health care centers of 3 district (Heasrak, Nazian and Shiwari District) in Nangarhar Province.

For achieving quality output, smooth implementation according the time frame, Design, Drawings and BOQ is planned to recruit 3 No’s of WASH field engineers for field job with considering of the bellow required responsibility, educational and experience.

A. Job responsibility:

1. Implement planned activities according to the plane, design, drawings and BOQ on daily bases.
2. Site adapt Design of WASH hard components with considering of any changes in the designed activities (Design, as built Drawing, BOQ and etc…).
3. Monitor and Check Quantity and Quality of the construction activities with specified engineering standards.
4. Compare Field actual conducted and BOQ planned activities quantity for prevention.
5. Conduct field required tests according engineering standards.
6. Assist with vendor team for any clarification and implementation of the project activities at field level.
7. Repot to line supervisor regarding the project activities progress, issues and challenges bae on AWEC reporting policy.
8. Solve technical issues with considering field and planned activities.
9.  Ensure close and best coordination and cooperation with line supervisor, vendor, donor, local authorities and health care centers staff.
10. Providing project completion punch list, hand over documents and report.
11. Any other technical task if required and requested by the organization.

Educational and Technical Requirements:

• Graduate from Civil engineers or water supply department.
• Have 5 years’ experience of field engineers, design and implementation of the water supply project.
• Knowledge of GPS, AutoCAD, water gem or Water cad technical software.
• Knowledge of commuter usage MS office specially word and excel.
• Knowledge of English language (Writing, Reading and speaking).
• Ability to be present at field on daily base.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem solving good judgment.
• Ability of working in remote area.

Note: base on the project location AWEC cannot provide daily transport, accommodation, podium or field office.
