Kandahar Refugee Organization (KRO) is a national-level, non-political, non-profitable, non-governmental organization working for humanitarian and rehabilitation roots in Afghanistan. Further, KRO is an Afghan organization that is committed to the development of the local economy and building local capacity for sustainable development. Thus, we have an established specialized network in many provinces of the country in order to design, and implement related activities in the field of food security, research, capacity building, disaster management, and placement.
The enumerator is responsible for collecting accurate data in different villages of targeted districts using Kobo collection Tools. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in diverse environments.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct field surveys, and data collection activities as directed by project manager.
· Use digital data collection tools such as smartphones ensuring the accuracy and integrity of collected data.
· Adhere to data collection protocols and guidelines to maintain consistency and quality of data.
· Maintain accurate records of data collection activities, including details of locations, respondents, and any challenges encountered.
· Assist in the organization and storage of data, following data protection and confidentiality protocols.
· Provide regular updates on data collection progress and any issues encountered during fieldwork to the project manager
· Participate in training sessions on data collection methods, tools, and ethical considerations.
· Ensure that all data collection activities comply with ethical standards, including obtaining informed consent from respondents.
· Respect the confidentiality and privacy of all individuals and communities involved in the data collection process.
· Build a rapport with local communities to facilitate smooth data collection processes and encourage participation from beneficiaries.
· Work closely with project staff and other enumerators to ensure the timely completion of surveys and adherence to project timelines.
· Ensureconfidentiality and ethical handling of beneficiaries' information throughout the data collection process.
· Address any challenges or issues that arise during the survey process, reporting them to project management promptly.
· Collect the necessary data and information to keep track of the change in attitudes and practices of target livestock owner groups based on criteria in targeted communities.
· Conduct regular meetings with beneficiaries’ selection committees.
· To provide proper daily, weekly and monthly plans of field activities.
· Develop and submit accurate weekly and monthly reports to the project manager and these reports should include technical social and impact information.
· Any other duties assigned by project manager.
Bachelor’s degree in social science BBA or similar related field.
Additional training or certification in data collection will be preferred.
1-2 years of experience in data collection and surveying.
Proficiency in using digital data collection tools and software (e.g., Kobo Toolbox).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
Ability to work in various field conditions and adapt to changing circumstances.
