JRS (Jesuit Refugee Service), founded in 1980, is an international organization with a mission to accompany, serve, and defend the rights of forcibly displaced people. JRS facilitates involvement by individuals and communities and promotes regional and global co-operation and networking on behalf of refugees.

• Provide   case management to at-risk/affected children and their families.
• Reinforce adherence to Child Protection (CP) guiding principles throughout all activities with children and their families. This includes ensuring informed consent/assent, maintaining confidentiality, and prioritizing the best interests of the child.
• Participate in identifying children who have been harmed or are at risk of harm, providing individual case management in accordance with established case management steps and principles, including:
• Conducting initial assessments of CP cases and prioritizing based on risk level.
• Conducting comprehensive assessments of CP cases.
• Developing case management plans that address the needs identified in initial and comprehensive assessments, seeking support from the supervisor as needed.
• Provide Psychological First Aid (PFA) and psychosocial support to at-risk/affected children and their families.
• Refer children in need of more specialized services through referral procedures to service providers (MHPSS and other services)
• Regularly follow up to ensure that all services and action items listed in the case plan are implemented within the agreed-upon timeframe, ensuring that progress is regularly reviewed.
• Facilitate social-emotional, recreational, creative and life-skills activities for children and adolescents.
• Monitor and support children and their families through individual orientation sessions, awareness sessions on child protection, , PFA  referrals, etc.
• Conduct individual guided sessions for parents/caregivers to improve their stress management skills, positive parenting practices, and strategies for supporting children and adolescents with psychosocial needs.
• Collaborate closely with JRS  Coordinate with other JRS staff (facilitators, youth volunteers, CP staff, etc. )to ensure that children and their families have discreet and confidential access to services via internal referral procedures.
• Work with the CP team to respond to the evolving needs of children and their families.
• Identify concerns related to adherence to CP referral protocols and CP guiding principles, bringing these concerns to the attention of the coordinator (Child Protection and Social Services).
• Maintain effective working relationships with relevant partners, including community leaders and other implementing organizations.
• Complete monthly activity reports as guided by the coordinator (Child Protection and Social Services).
• Create a safe environment for children to play, socialize, and learn.
• Observe children/adolescents with special needs to ensure their successful integration into activities.
• Address questions from community members and parents/caregivers regarding ongoing activities.
• Take attendance, report material needs, and support other administrative tasks as required.
• Stay updated on the child protection situation and developments in intervention areas and surrounding communities.
• Report to the Coordinator on any child protection concerns, trends, and updates within the community and surrounding areas.
• Promote and adhere to the principles, goals, and code of conduct of JRS.
• Act professionally in a manner that reflects positively on JRS and does not compromise its humanitarian mission.
• Provide translation and interpretation during meetings, training sessions, and/or documents as needed for better understanding among staff.
• Perform any other duties as requested by the coordinator to ensure the smooth progress of the program.

• Bachelor's degree in Social Services/Social Work, Law and Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, or other relevant fields, Minimum 2 years of experience in child protection, social work, psycho-social support and work in humanitarian or development settings   
• Knowledge of humanitarian field, human rights, international development, or other related field 
• Experience working with vulnerable children and caregivers
