Momin Afghan Microfinance Institution(MAMI) is the First  Da Afghanistan Bank licensed Microfinance Institution in Afghanistan established in 2024. Our primary objective in Afghanistan is to contribute to, community development, poverty alleviation, job creation and economic development through the provision of sustainable Islamic financial services to the poor and underserved.

Job Descriptions:

The Women Empowerment Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing programs that support women’s financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment. This role focuses on developing Shariah-compliant microfinance products, training women entrepreneurs, and ensuring gender-inclusive financial services.

Job Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Women’s Financial Inclusion & Product Development:

  1. Develop and promote Shariah-compliant microfinance products tailored for women entrepreneurs.
  2. Identify financial barriers women face and design strategies to improve their access to credit.
  3. Work closely with financial and recovery teams to ensure responsible lending to women clients.

2. Capacity Building & Training:

    1. Organize financial literacy programs, entrepreneurship training, and skill development workshops for women.
    2. Provide mentorship and business development support to women-led enterprises.
    3. Collaborate with NGOs, government agencies, and international partners on women’s economic empowerment programs.

3. Community Engagement & Client Support:

    1. Build strong relationships with local women entrepreneurs, community groups, and stakeholders.
    2. Conduct awareness programs on women’s rights in finance and business.
    3. Address challenges faced by female clients in accessing and repaying microfinance loans.

4. Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact Assessment:

    1. Track progress and success stories of women beneficiaries.
    2. Collect data on women’s participation in microfinance programs and prepare reports for management.
    3. Recommend improvements to strengthen women’s economic opportunities.

5. Compliance & Gender-Inclusive Policies:

    1. Ensure all programs align with Shariah principles, regulatory guidelines, and gender equity policies.
    2. Advocate for gender-sensitive policies within the institution.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

    1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
    2. Minimum 3 years of experience in women’s empowerment, microfinance, or social development programs.
    3. Strong knowledge of Islamic microfinance principles and financial inclusion strategies.
    4. Experience working with women entrepreneurs, NGOs, or community organizations.

Skills & Competencies:

    1. Passion for women’s financial empowerment and social impact.
    2. Strong project management and leadership skills.
    3. Excellent communication and training abilities.
    4. Ability to develop and implement gender-inclusive financial strategies.
    5. Data analysis and report-writing skills.
    6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial tracking tools.

Work Conditions:

    1. Office-based with field visits to engage with women entrepreneurs and communities.
    2. Collaboration with local, national, and international stakeholders.
