Job Title: Deputy Program Manager for Project Management Initiative Program (PMIP)

Location: Kabul, Afghanistan

Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Program Manager


Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Deputy Program Manager to support the management and execution of PMIP. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing the program's operations, ensuring that it meets its educational and strategic objectives efficiently and effectively.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Education, or related field.
  • PgMP, PMP, PRINCE2 Certification are highly preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in program management, preferably in education or professional training.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English; Dari or Pashto fluency is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the standards of project management and educational program delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Program Manager in the daily management of the program’s activities and overall administration.
  • Help to develop and implement program strategies, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, including participants, instructors, and institutional partners.
  • Coordinate with other team members to ensure that all program components, such as course scheduling, instructor assignments, and resource allocation, are efficiently managed.
  • Monitor program progress against goals and prepare detailed reports on milestones and adjustments.
  • Oversee the resolution of issues that affect program scope, quality, risk, and schedule.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring financial performance.
  • Support the marketing and participant recruitment efforts by collaborating with the marketing team.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement by incorporating feedback from participants and instructors into program enhancements.
