About WSTA:

Watan’s Social and Technical Services Association (WSTA) is a Nonprofit and Non-Governmental Organization that was established in 1992 with the aim to provide humanitarian assistance to vulnerable Afghan communities. WSTA is registered with the Ministry of Economy under license number 352, and with the UNOPS office, based on code No. WON and Registration No. OPS-CR-0535. WSTA is a member of ANCB and ACBAR.

Since its establishment, WSTA has supported the most vulnerable and conflict-affected men, women, and children. We have partnered with UNHCR, UNOCHA, UNWFP, IOM, IRC, Care International, Australia Aid, Canada Fund, and Relief International to provide humanitarian aid through over 200 projects implemented across 20 provinces of Afghanistan. With our headquarter in Kabul, we have 10 active provincial offices in Parwan, Bamyan, Ghazni, Nangarhar, Paktia, Khost, Paktika, Panjshir, Herat, Daikundi and active presence in Kandahar and Balkh. Currently, WSTA has 400 active employees which include 320 males and 80 females. WSTA provides livelihood, vocational training, education, shelter, water, and food assistance to the most vulnerable communities particularly women in Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

Under direct supervision of the Senior Women Protection officer, and direct management of project manager, the PSS counselors are responsible to organize and conduct individual and group counseling to women and girls in women community centers and target communities. This may include but not limited to;

  1. In collaboration with UNHCR, developing and finalizing the materials for PSS counseling for the AWG project in Kabul.
  2. In collaboration with women center focal points, planning, organizing and conducting the PSS counseling sessions for women and girls in the women community centers in Kabul.
  3. In collaboration with AWG field monitors, planning, organizing and conducting the PSS counseling sessions for women and girls in target communities.
  4. Identifying the vulnerable women and girls in the women centers and target communities for hygiene kits.
  5. Organizing individual and group PSS counseling sessions for women and girls in the women centers as per their preference and pressing needs.
  6. In collaboration with women center focal points, supervising the recreational/educational activities.
  7. Contributing in administration of the women centers to ensure things are well organized for educational/recreational activities and monitoring missions.
  8. Reporting on PSS counseling to Senior AWG officer and Reporting officer as per reporting schedule and requirements.
  9. Any other relevant tasks assigned by the project manager or senior AWG officer.

Job Requirements:

University Degree in Psychosocial studies, midwifery or any other relevant fields PM certification is plus point.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
