Title of Extender: WASH Field Engineer

Contract Duration: 1 May 2025- 31 December 2025

Geographic Focus (Province/District): Jalalabad, ER

TASK TO BE PERFORMED

• Capacity Building at national and sub-national level for better implementation of WASH programme.
• Water resource management and monitoring
• Groundwater monitoring and assessment      
• Support the Ru-WatSIP Monitoring and Information System (MIS)
• Support CLTS Mobilization for scaling up of sanitation.                                                 
• Support monitoring of CLTS activities at national and provincial levels                                
• Support the construction and rehabilitation of community drinking water supply systems in rural and urban areas.
• Provision of operational support (administrative, logistical, and finical) to national and sub-national staff to deliver key results in WASH.
• Provide on the job training to WUC and contractors to ensure good quality construction of rural water supply systems and to ensure establishment and training of O&M committee (encouraging female participation) for water supply system.                        
• Provide technical supervision and monitoring of WASH program.
• Support for water quality testing.
• Support the construction and rehabilitation of WinS facilities in school.        
• Support the implementation of software activities in schools including MHM.
• Support to WASH in health care facilities.               
• Carry out assessments/survey to determine WASH needs.   
• Provide gender responsive humanitarian WASH services through temporary solutions to affected people in communities and IDP sites.

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

• Degree in Civil engineering and other related fields will be prioritized.
• Previous experience 5 years in the related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
• Fluency in local languages and proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Knowledge of reporting, design, survey, monitoring, and coordination
