Afghanistan Social and Legal Organization (ASLO) is a non-governmental, not-for-profit, and non-partisan organization dedicated to serving the community of Afghanistan. The Afghanistan Social and Legal Organization (ASLO) remains deeply committed to supporting the Afghan people by designing and implementing locally-driven programs and projects. Scope of work:
ASLO has an extensive and a good track record in implementation of educational support programs funded by donors in Logar province. ASLO in cooperation will implement education Global Partnership for Education (GPE) in 5 locations of Logar province, namely, Kharwar, Barak-i-Barak, Khosho, Pule Alam, and Mohammad Agha districts of Logar province. This position is responsible for mobilization activities in Community Based Education (CBE) in Logar districts.
Under the overall supervision of the Provincial Education Manager and Education Officer, The Safeguarding Assistant is responsible for ensuring safe spaces and safeguarding measures for the children enrolled in community-based education (CBEs). He/she shall coordinate and supervise the safeguarding plan and undertake mobilization process to enable the communities to discuss, prioritize and prepare for safeguarding issues so that children are safe in the learning spaces and CBE classes and utilize the maximum time for learning. He/she will act as a facilitator at the provincial and district level to ensure all the staff and stakeholders are better aware of the safeguarding policies, issues, procedures and processes. The Safeguarding Assistants responsibilities involves is capacity building, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies. This includes conducting trainings, monitoring visits to CBEs classes, project sites and managing investigations of safeguarding concerns. The role also emphasizes ensuring a safe and respectful environment for children and vulnerable populations. The Safeguarding Assistants will be closely working with community-based education (CBEs) classes. management shuras, hub-schools, host communities, direct and indirect beneficiaries.
The Safeguarding Assistants will report to the Provincial Education Manager and Education Officer in Logar Provincial Office.
