Women Activities & Social Service Association (WASSA) was established in 2002 in Afghanistan as a non-governmental organization, committed to seeking ways for women's empowerment in Afghanistan. WASSA aims to promote women's equal participation in socio-economic sectors of the country. WASSA works directly with communities to bring change in the social attitude of the community regarding women.

Job Descriptions:

  • Supporting the 5 VSLA groups on their internal activities accordingly to the by-laws.
  • Monitoring through regular visits to the VSLA groups and providing assistance.
  • Collecting data and information from the VSLA group’s activities for reporting.
  • Maintaining coordination and coordination between project and VSLA groups.
  • Developing reports for the project manager.
  • Assisting VSLA groups on their filing and documentation.
  • Filing and archiving all hard/soft copies of the project documents.
  • Participating in VSLA group meetings.
  • Conflict resolution: The agent assists in resolving any conflicts or issues that may arise within the group.
  • Encourage engagement in community-led initiatives and social projects.
  • Link VSLAs with relevant stakeholders (government programs, NGOs, UN agencies) for further support.
  • Training and capacity building: The agent provides training and support to VSLA members to enhance their financial literacy and management skills.
  • Develop case studies/ success stories between the groups.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the project manager

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economy or Education
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation.
  • Experience in business development projects
  • Experience working with national/international NGOs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Microsoft Office Package skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
