progress for women and girls in Afghanistan. RRSWO acts on the fundamental premise that women and girls have the right to live a life free of discrimination, violence and poverty, and that gender equality is central to achieving development with reach, sizable expertise and significant resources. For too long, women have been forced to stand on the sidelines, whether the issue is political leadership, safety in conflict zones, protection from violence or access to public services. Now women must come to the centre as leaders, advocates and agents of change.

Job Descriptions:

The Operations Officer will work closely with the Finance, Human Resources, and Procurement departments at RRSWO, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of these key functions. This role is crucial for supporting the organization’s mission by providing strategic oversight, fostering operational excellence, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Financial Management:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, and prepare for audits.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks effectively.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely processing of accounts payable and receivable.

 

2. Human Resources Management:

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training processes to attract and retain talented staff.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.
  • Manage employee performance evaluation processes and promote staff development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

 

3. Procurement Management:

  • Oversee all procurement activities, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Develop and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate the procurement process from requisition to contract management.
  • Monitor and evaluate procurement activities to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

 

4. Operational Oversight:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of the main office and sub-offices, including facilities management.
  • Implement best practices in office management to enhance productivity.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

 

5. Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and guide department managers in Finance, HR, and Procurement.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages team development.
  • Conduct regular meetings with department heads to align objectives and strategies.

Job Requirements:

    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in finance, HR, and procurement.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
