Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and multi-skilled Cook to prepare three daily meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for our staff. The cook must be available 24 hours a day, except Fridays which is the official weekly day off. The ideal candidate should be proficient in preparing both Afghan and international (foreign) dishes and must strictly maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen and accommodation will be provided by company.

مناسب کاندید بايد د افغان او نړيوالو (بهرنيو) خوړو په تيارولو کې مهارت ولري، او حفظ الصحې ته باید جدي پاملرنه وکړي. د شرکت له‌ خوا د آشپز لپاره استوګنې ځای برابرېږي.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve three meals daily: breakfast, lunch, and dinner on a fixed schedule.
• Ability to cook a variety of traditional Afghan and international meals.
• Plan weekly meal menus in coordination with the admin/management team.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed during preparation and storage.
• Keep the kitchen, utensils, and dining area clean and well-organized at all times.
• Manage food inventory and inform the manager in advance of any supplies required.
• Handle leftovers and prevent unnecessary food wastage.
• Cater to special dietary needs or guest meals as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 5 of experience in a professional cooking role (office, site, or camp setting).
• Strong skills in cooking both Afghan and international cuisines.
• Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety regulations, and sanitary practices.
• Able to work independently, manage time efficiently, and follow cooking schedules.
• Clean, disciplined, respectful, and presentable.

Salary & Benefits:

• Monthly salary range: 10,000 – 13,000 AFN, based on experience and culinary skills.
• Meals and accommodation may be provided (as per company policy).
• Respectful and supportive work environment.
• Kandahar Resident: One regular day off per week (Friday).
• Provincial Resident (Kandahar Staff): Entitled to 4 days off per month (excluding Fridays).
