Provide security coverage for the laboratory facility, including perimeter, access points, and critical internal areas. Protect personnel, sensitive research materials, equipment, and ensure controlled access to maintain biosafety and biosecurity.
Summary of Assigned Duties
The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of National Head Coordinator Herat -NHC and will perform the following duties:
· Conduct access control, visitor screening, and ID issuance; maintain visitor logbooks.
· Perform patrols, both fixed and roving, including perimeter monitoring.
· Monitor entry/exit of personnel, equipment, and materials, verifying authorizations.
· Execute security inspections, ensure all entry/exit points are secured after hours.
· Respond to emergencies, such as fire, intrusion, or unauthorized access, following predefined SOPs.
· Submit incident reports, monthly logs, and daily visitor registers to designated authority.
· Ensure visitors comply with security regulations and procedures
· To ensure physical integrity and safety of assets.
· To screen, control of all arriving visitors.
· To verify that the persons entering the Laboratory.
· Clean windows and windows frames, glass partitions, and glass doors.
· Empty trash bins and change plastic bags.
Job Requirements:
· Primary education
· Reading and writing
· Overtime on weekends
· At least one year of work experience as guard or watchman.
Skills:
· Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.
· Ability to work under pressure.
· Good Communication skills
Languages:
· Fully fluent in Dari and Pashto
