Job Descriptions:

Provincial Coordinator is responsible to implement the project activities such as establish ASTA Centers, coordination with PED, DED and others education stakeholders at provincial and district level follow up the training for targeted beneficiaries, supporting staff, community mobilization, site selection, ensure teaching and center manASTAment skill development for teachers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement ASTA project activities at districts/provincial level and execute the planned activities according to the approved frame work and milestones.
  • Representing the organization to external stakeholders.
  • Take necessary steps for enhancing staff capacity in order to ensure the quality of activities to fulfill the desired targets for ASTA.
  • Supervise the staff performance and schooling activities in the field.
  • Take initiatives to establish effective communication with provincial stakeholders (PED, Provincial Governor, Economic Director, other GOs and NGOs with regards to the project activities.
  • Solve the challenges related to the ASTA operation and other tasks through mobilizing communities, government bodies and TSEDSO employees.
  • Prepare progress reports and submit it to the concern department timely and regularly.
  • Prepare quarterly and yearly report to the PEDs and Provincial Economic Department and submit the final approved reports to the organization.
  • Ensure procurement, preservation and distribution of the materials according to the TSEDSO procurement policy and procedures.
  • Prepare monthly action plan to carry out the program activities according to the approved project work plan. 
  • Collaborate closely with local community group and leaders and elders to gain their support and address any concerns related to girls education.
  • Resolve of the social problem related to ASTA operation in consultation with community people, concern government department and TSEDSO Officials.
  • Establish a safeguarding culture across all level of the program by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
  • Attend monthly co-ordination Meetings with Provincial Education Director & MoEc.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  •  Bachalor, Master Preferred
  • At least 3 years working experience in education sectors in national NGO and at least 1-year experience at Co-ordinational level
  • Skill in project planning, implementing and budget and financial management
  • Computer knowledge on MS Office, MS Excel and Power Point, E-mail in internet browsing
  • Has strong team management skill
  • Has knowledge on community mobilization activities
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • Fluency in Dari, Pashto and English
  • Good communication skills particularly in local languages (Dari/Pashtu)
  • Speaking and writing ability in English
  • Good knowledge in Child education system in Afghanistan
  • Computer knowledge and skill
  • Skill on result-based work plan (using logical framework) on strategy including budget related issues.
  • Knowledge on materials and presentation development

Coordination skill with DED, PED, other Govt. officials, and local elected bodies, NGO’s, project experts and concern community members
