Job Descriptions:

To ensure the quality and updated data of the project is available in the EMIS system, as per the project's outputs and indicators; To prepare EMIS reports for stakeholders. As well provide analysis reports for the management team for their decision making. Additionally, the EMIS officer will be responsible to coordinate relevant stakeholders to enhance data collection, verification procedure and systems.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the ASTA EMIS application is updated on a monthly basis and provides accurate reports.
  • Generate and verify EMIS reports to ensure accuracy and correctness of data.
  • Develop standardized EMIS data collection tools and share with internal teams and partners.
  • Design, maintain, and secure databases to store project data, ensuring integrity, accessibility, and confidentiality.
  • Collect updated EMIS reports from staff and consolidate them for submission to the Project coordinator and TSEDSO Management.
  • Coordinate with teams to align data collection processes, standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Provide training and technical support to TSEDSO staff on EMIS usage, data entry protocols, and reporting procedures.
  • Advise EMIS staff on data collection, cleaning, and management practices to improve data quality.
  • Prepare monthly EMIS analysis reports and present findings to TSEDSO management in coordination meetings.
  • Submit consolidated EMIS reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) to TSEDSO Head Office, Monitoring Department, PED, MoE, donors, and Afghanistan Education Cluster.
  • Support the project coordinator in preparing summary analysis for quarterly and annual donor reports.
  • Monitor and follow up on the performance of EMIS tasks carried out by TSEDSO field teams.
  • Develop and implement data collection plans in coordination with partner NGOs to ensure timely and accurate submission.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups and provide feedback to improve accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of EMIS reporting.
  • Provide troubleshooting for hardware, LAN, Windows-based systems, printers, and modems.
  • Maintain and support internal email systems, databases, and IT infrastructure.
  • Install and maintain necessary software for branch offices and provide end-user support.
  • Regularly update staff information databases and ensure system functionality.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Software, database and web application development.
  • EMIS/Database administration and maintenance.
  • Data analysis.
  • Report writing.
  • Experience in coordinating data collection and reporting efforts with partner NGOs and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and partners.
